1. Find 10 Things in Common
This icebreaker is pretty simple and self-explanatory. All you need to do is group your participants and make them find 10 things they have in common by asking one another questions. The ideas is to dig deep find similarities in a fun way.
2. The Best One Word
With this icebreaker, one person chooses a topic, any topic, to give their partner and they have to say the first thing that comes to mind about that topic. The exciting part about this icebreaker is that it’s so spontaneous. Expect lots of laughs with this one.
3. Five of Anything
First, pick a category. Then, let your the people you’re playing say any five things under the same category you choose, like “five favorite books” or “five favorite movies” for example. This is a fun icebreaker because you’re thinking on your toes, sharing more about yourself, and learning more about others.
4. Question Ball
In this icebreaker, all you have to do is write “icebreaker” questions on a ball and pass it around. When you catch it, the index finger of the hand you write with will point to the question you need to answer.
5. Two Truths & A Lie
We saved the best for last because this is ice breaker is probably the most popular in the list. For this icebreaker, divide people into smaller groups (no larger than 10) and instruct them to take turns sharing three things about themselves – two truths and one lie. The people in the group then guess which is which by asking a variety of questions.
